A Memorial Service will be
held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 29,
2011 at the Chapel of Macy and
Son, McMinnville.
Sherry was born in Aber-
deen, Wash., the daughter of
Roy and Jacqueline (Kuntz)
Gardner. She moved with her
family to Oregon in 1965 and
graduated from Sheridan High
School in 1969.
She lived in Albany, Ore.
and was retired from Hewlett
Packard, where she worked for
20 devoted years.
She will be greatly missed
by her friends and surviving
family which include her chil-
dren Corina Sanford and Billy
Kadell; her stepchildren
Patrick Kadell and Dion
Gammon; and grandchildren
Derek Sanford and Madeline
San ford.

Joseph Elliott
Hebert
Nov. 29, 1960-June 20, 2011
Joseph Elliott Heb .ert passed
away June 20, 2011 athis home
in Hilo, Hawaii from a brain
hemorrhage.
He was born to John "Art"
Hebert, Sr. and Norma (Elliott)
Hebert on Nov. 29, 1960 in
Portland, Ore. He was the sixth
of seven children and spent his
childhood growing up with his
family in Sheridan.
After graduating from
Sheridan High School in 1979,
he travelled throughout Europe
pursuing educational interests.
He returned to the states and
graduated from the University
of Oregon with a Bachelor of
Science degree in Finance in
1989.
After graduating from col-
lege, Joe moved to Hong Kong.
Not long after, he founded his
own business there known as
Farwest Resources, which spe-
cialized in the export of herbs
and spices from throughout
South-Central Asia to the
United States. It was in Hong
Kong that he met and married
Irene Wong in 1996. During
this time, they brought two
boys into this world, Eugene
and Lewis. Shortly thereafter,
Joe moved his family to Hawaii.
Joe enjoyed being an entre-
preneur and travelling. During
his life he travelled to many
exotic and remote areas
throughout the world and es-
pecially enjoyed travelling off
the beaten path. He also loved
his boys very much and always
looked forward to exploring
the outdoors with them and es-
pecially spending hours swim-
ming in the ocean. His inter-
ests included sports, the out-
doors, fishing and travel. He
was also an enrolled tribal
member in the Chinook and
Quinault Indian tribes in
Washington State.
Survivors include his six
siblings, John Hebert, Jr., Su-
san Hebert, Annie Scott, Emie
Hebert, Lucy Hebert and Josie
Adams; along with his two
boys, Eugene, 13, and Lewis,
10. He was preceded in death
by his father, John "Art" He-
bert and mother, Norma
(Elliott) Hebert.
A celebration of Joe's life
and interment is pending in
Sheridan. Cards and letters to
the family can be sent c/o Ernie
Hebert, 26398 SW Labrousse
Rd., Sherwood, OR 97140. The
family asks that remembrances
be made to the SalvationArmy.
