Langley, 65, of Sheri- -He lived in the Sheridan Care dan, died Tuesday at home. Center for the past two years. She was born March 10, 1929 in Survivors include his wife; son, Boston, Mass., to George and Bes- sie Chandler Beardsley. She moved to Sheridan in 1948 after marrying Vance Elliott. During the 1950s she was a housewife, Cub Scout den mother and Brownie leader. She was a member of Sheri- dan United Methodist Church. Her husband died in 1958 and she married George A. Pickar in 1961. He died in 1963 and in 1965 she married Ivan (Casey) Langley. She graduated from Chemeketa Community College and was employed the last 19 years by the Sheridan school district as a busi- ness aide and library assistant. Survivors include her husband; a son, George A. Pickar of Lenoir City, Tenn.; daughters, Sheila Elliott of Sheridan, Susan O Shea of Eugene and step-daughter Sheila Langley of Tacoma, Wash.; brother, David Beardsley of Sun City, Calif.; sister, Luciilia Mullaly of Sun City; and four grandchildren. Rema DeJong Rema DeJong, 81, of Sheridan died Sept. 25 at her home. She was born Jan. 9, 1913 to Joe and Ellen Schevenius Pedranti in Silver Bow, Mont. She married John DeJong on Sept. 5, 1937 in Sheri- dan. She moved to Kalama, Wash. in 1918 and to Sheridan in 1927 where she graduated from Sheridan High School. She lived in Tigard after her marriage and returned to Sheridan in 1942, operating a dairy and grain farm with her husband. She was a Red Cross volunteer and her hobbies included gardening, flowers, traveling and dancing. Survivors include her husband; son, Calvin of Sheridan; daughters, Patricia Saunders of Sheridan and Pamela Wall of Beaverton; sisters, Lily Suhs of St. Helens, Easter Holland of Perrydale and Edna Ver- bovanic of Tillamook; six grandchil- dren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Delores, two brothers, one sister and one granddaughter. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at the United Methodist Church in McMinnville. Entombment will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Mauso- leum in McMinnville. Arrange- nients are by Macy & Son mortuary.
