Ross Gene Price, 79, died April
25 at home in Sheridan.
He was born
Oct. 11, 1927 in
Hebo, the son of
Ruben and Lita
Price. He was
raised in Tilla-
mock County
with his brother,
Reed. He en-
tered the Army Ross Gene Price
in 1950 with his
childhood buddy, Tom Lane, and
was released in 1953.
He worked for various cheese
factories in Tillamook County, then
drove log truck until he retired in
1990.
He is survived by his wife, Dixie
Price of Sheridan; daughters, Bar-
bara Hamilton of McMinnville,
Robbyn Sadis of Oregon City and
Debra Price of Sheridan; brother,
Reed Price of Billings, Mont.; 10
grandchildren and four great-
grandchildren.
No services will be held at his
request.
A celebration of life will be held
in June for family and friends. In-
formation will be published in The
Sun the first week of June.

Alvin E. Sybrian, 82, of Sheri-
dan, died April 27.
He was born July 18, 1924 in
Oakland, Calif. He graduated from
Calitbrnia School of Fine Arts. He
served in the U.S. Amay during
World War II. After his military ser-
vice he became a self-employed
artist working in wood, marble,
water colors and oils.
Survivors include a son, Joseph
G. Sybrian; and a sister, Doris
Sybrian.
Services will be held at 11 a.m.
Friday at Mt. Scott Funeral Home,
59th and Foster, Portlmid.

Katana K. (Pirtle) Forbes, 50, of
Sheridan, died of cancer April 20
at her home.
She was born March 2, 1957 in
Mayfield, Ky.
She married James H. Forbes in
1986. They lived in Calilbmia be-
fore moving to Sheridan in Febru-
ary 2004. She worked as an insur-
ance manager for Oregon Mutual
Insurance.
