This logging unit contains approximately 67 acres to be logged with a timber volume of 3,695,000 board feet sawlogs of all species consisting of an estimated volume of 3,630,000 board feet of Douglas-fir and other Conifer Sawlogs and a predetermined volume of 65,000 board feet of Red Alder and other Hardwood Sawlogs. The above stated volumes are estimates and are not guaranteed. Each bidder must state the price per thousand board feet, Scribner Log Scale, that will be paid for timber cut and scaled from this unit. No bid per thousand board feet of less than $220.00 for Douglas-fir and other Conifer Saw- logs will be considered. Red Alder and other Hardwood Sawlogs will be paid for in a single lump sum payment of seven thousand two hundred "twenty-eight dollars ($7,228.00 total value). No bidding will be permitted on Red Alder and other Hardwood Sawlogs. Conifer Wood Logs, removed at the purchaser's option, will be purchased at the rate of $15.00 per thousand board feet gross scale. No bidding will be permitted on Wood Logs. All Conifer Other Wood Products not meeting Sawiog or Wood Log product specifications removed at the purchaser's option will be purchased at the rate of $5.00 per thousand board feet gross scale or equivalent method of measure- ment. No bidding on Other Conifer Wood Products will be permitted. DOMESTIC MANUFACTURING REQUIREMENT--All sawtimber from this sale shall be restricted for primary manufacture in the United States. This sawtimber is IS NOT subject to substitution laws. Deposits in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, bank draft or postal money order drawn payable to the order of the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the amount of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) must accompany each sealed bid. The deposit of the apparent high bidder, and of others who submit written requests to have their bids considered for acceptance will be retained, pending acceptance or rejection of the bids. All other deposits will be returned. The deposit of the successful bidder will be applied as part of the purchase price against timber cut on this unit, or retained as liquidated damages if the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the amount of forty-one thousand dollars ($41,000) within thirty (30) days of acceptance of his bid. An acceptable performance bond will be in the form of a cashier's check, bank draft, postal money order, United States negotiable securities, irrevocable letter of credit, or cash. The right to waive technical defects and to reject any/or all bids is reserved.
