Wes and Lorraine Ashwell enjoyed cake and ice cream at Jean and Bruce Turnidge's home in honor of their daughter Shawn's 15th birthday on March 13. Primrose Rebekah Lodge met Thursday evening for their regular meeting at the lodge hall, with Noble Grand Shirley Jacobsen presiding. The members donated $26.52 to the Arthritis Foundation. Grace Hertz- berg and May Shipley decorated the dining room in the St. Patrick theme and served refreshments. Jude Lehner took eight of the F.F.A. students to Bend on Thursday to attend the state convention. The Lehner's three sons Justen, Jeramy and Josh accom- panied them to Redmond where they visited Terry's parents, Bob and Anita Lindquist. They all returned home Tuesday evening. Elana Andrews of Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho, is visiting her parents, Amos and Vada Andrew during spring break this week. Her friend Tim Flynn of Mollala, also a student at Northwest Nazarene College is visiting. Amos's sister and husband Hazel and Vern Wheeler of Seattle are visiting them this week. Clara Tucker went Sunday with her niece and husband Carol and Marvin Willey of South Beach, to Sandy. Bob and Dot Houston entertained their daughter-in-law Chris Houston and daughters Robyn and Jennie and Pat Winkler on Tuesday evening with a birthday dinner for Chris. On Saturday Dot's niece Marcie Murray and friend Don of Portland visited Bob and Dot. Ann and Bill Lindberg are home this week from college for spring break. Neal and Giennys Hall of Beilingham, Wash., visited relatives in this area this weekend. lla Burger entertained Ken and Edna Bunn, Michael and Becky, Kristi and Russ Osborne and baby Dexter and Floyd Bunn of Salem with dinner Saturday evening at her home. Erin and baby Lanaya and Tony Mercier had dinner with Ila on Sunday. Eula Petite's daughter Sister Katera of Portland visited her this week. Miekey Barber accompanied Pat Winkler to North Plains on Thursday when she brought her trailer back home. They visited with Jan Burns at the tree farm. Ernestine Sumpter's daughter and grandson Ruth and Bobby Boland of Portland visited her this weekend. They drove to Lincoln City and Newport Saturday. George and Della Lee returned Tuesday from about 6 weeks traveling through part of California and Arizona. They visited relatives in several cities in California. Mickey Barber entertained Dale and Jean Barber of Mollala, lola Barber of Aurora and Pat Winkler of Sheridan with a birthday dinner in honor of Dale and Pat on Saturday. 7 1 The play is set in Terre Haule, Ind., where architect Willum Cubbert is visited by the stranger who saved his life in Vietnam. The stranger, Rick Steadman, turns out to be a "nerd," who drives Willum and his friends crazy and refuses to leave. Willum's life is changed after hilarious as "The Foreigner," also by Shue. Guticrrez was co-director of last summer's Gallery production of "The Foreigner," which tied for first place in the theater's annual awards competition last year. Gutierrez also notes that a recent production of "The Nerd" in the Scott Sulak as Willum and Adam Ewing as Rick Steadman. Marilyn Dresser plays Tansy McGiniis, and Chris Hunt is cast as Axel Hammond. Both characters are friends of Willum. Also appearing are Tim Duerfeldt as Warnock Walgrave.
